In effect — some terms still being finalised

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-02

This describes how the service actually works today. A qualified lawyer has not yet reviewed it, and the items listed as still open at the end of each document are not settled.

This document is published in English only. A mistranslated legal term would be a false promise, so these pages are not machine-translated.

1. The service

FUKUOKA AI PHOTO, operated by AXIOM, creates an AI-generated image from a photo you provide, in a visual style you choose. The result is a new, machine-generated image. It is not a photograph and is not a factual record of anything that happened.

2. What you promise us

  • You own the photo you upload, or you have the right to use it.
  • Everyone shown in the photo has agreed to an AI image being created from it.
  • Where a child appears, you are their parent or legal guardian, or you have the permission of the person responsible for them.
  • You will not upload a photo of a person who has not agreed, or use the Service to impersonate, harass, or mislead anyone.

3. What you get

Before you pay, you can see a watermarked preview of your image at no cost. After you pay, you can download the high-resolution file without the watermark, and it stays available to download for 30 days.

You may use that file for your personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing it on social media. Whether a commercial licence is offered is one of the open items in section 8.

4. What we cannot promise

AI image generation is not deterministic. The result may not resemble you closely, may contain visual artefacts, and may differ between attempts with the same photo and style. This is a normal property of the technology and not a defect.

5. Payment

Prices are shown in Japanese yen and include tax. The price you see before you are sent to the payment page is the amount charged. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page; we never receive them.

If a purchase did not deliver what was described, please tell us. The refund policy itself is one of the open items in section 8, and until it is settled we will not pretend otherwise.

6. Demo mode

The Service can run in a demo mode, which says so on screen. In demo mode no payment is taken, no card details are collected, and the downloadable file is a demo-quality image. Demo mode is not in use on the live service.

7. Changes

These terms change when the Service does, and the date at the top changes with them.

8. Still open

These are not yet settled, and nothing above should be read as deciding them:

  • AXIOM's formal particulars — representative, registered address and telephone number — which the 特定商取引法 disclosure required for consumer sales in Japan must carry.
  • The refund policy for digital goods, and whether a statutory cooling-off period applies.
  • Whether a commercial-use licence is offered, and on what terms.
  • Governing law and where a dispute would be heard.
